I will re-try the whole blog thing.

I'm not sure how this will fan out, but will try again.

McQUEEN 'LE MANS' STYLE JACKET

http://shop.1asecure.com/prod.cfm?ProdID=287075&StID=4908

They offer a slightly different jacket which you can do a custom patch job on.

So I could remove the US flag.

Seats Update 2

Ok, it looks like I'll be going with the tall wide seat.

1. Its just a little narrower, 41.2cm vs 43cm
2. Its taller, the stock GT6 seat is 81.3cm tall, the wide low seat is only 78.5cm and the tall wide is 82.5cm. My head is over top of the stock GT6 as it is...

Again this wont be cheap so I'm asking questions and waiting for answers.

Seat Part Deux

Update 1233

Ok, looks like the slightly narrow tall seat is more suited to my needs.

The wide tall is 41.2cm vs the wide low which is 43cm. I won't fit into the 39cm seat so lets not go there.

The stock seat in the GT6 is 81.3cm tall, while the wide tall is 82.5cm and the wide low is 78.5cm.

As it is now, my head is over the stock head rest.

Seat Update

Talking to the guy Mark who makes the seats.

Looking good.

230 GBP for the seats, plus another 97 for shipping.
(200 for the seats, 15 per seat to do the crotch belt slot.)

Ok not cheap, but when have I been cheap.

Just verifying the over all width of the seat. 17" is my mac limit.

Hate to buy something that is too big.

These new wide seats are slightly different then the style Dave has.

They are shorter, according to the seller, better for tin tops, I agree.

If I feel the wide is too much, I can go with the 412mm vs these at 430mm. I don't think a few cm will make a difference.

Seats?

I'm wondering if these are too wide at 43cm, might be do able. Not cheap, but little to no options out there really.

I sent an email to the sell too see if a crotch belt slot can be added as well lap belt slots and last shipping from the UK!

I'll update when I hear.

Bumper Or Bumperless???

Been thinking about this for a bit.

Pro, they do protect the body and provide a nice way to push the car.

Con, ugly and weigh a lot. Seen is Roy's GT6 without bumpers. Damn nice.

Damn its cold

Nasty nippy cold out this morning.

I was only out for a bit, but that was enough.

There is no way I will be retiring in Ottawa!

Latest Distraction

So, for the next month I'm going to be working on a renovation for Laura.

Doing a laundry room.

The plan is to install 2 new walls, custom shelving and drywall the place. Should be easy enough to deal with, just figure it will take a month.

Once that's done, I will start on the GT6. So much to do :)

Wood

Well I'm impressed the Mazda can easily move 15 pieces of 2x4.

I figure the laundry room reno will take me a month.

So I hope to be done by the end of Feb and get to work on the GT6 in March.

Frack That Its Cold Out

Plan B, will pick up the lumber on Monday.

Too damn cold out.

Back to playing with James.

Opps

I was working on the server and removed the wrong package.

So over night the web services failed.

Had to grab a DVD Rom from my PC to reload the server.

Oh well.

Off to grab some wood from Home Depot to do the basement reno...

So much fun. I know the old Cavalier could haul 24 pieces of 2x4x8, but I think the Mazda will not take as much.
